Gianna is an Italian name with two meanings: “God is gracious” or “The Lord is gracious”.

This is a story of life in the deep South. Helen (Granny) Wallace faces many trials and tribulations, but through the little country church that means so much to her she never loses her faith.

Johnny, her only son, also faces hardships that turn his life upside down for many years.

Their worlds change when a little girl comes into their lives.

This book is inspired by a script Mamie Jean wrote and decided to turn into a book because she loved the story. Being born and raised in Irvine, Kentucky, a lot of the story holds true. She didn’t grow up poor, but she sure could relate to a lot of folks who were.

This is just a story of life with a happy ending; Mamie Jean hopes everyone has a happy ending as well.
